My grandmother, Caterina Maiuolo was born in Cortale, Catanzaro. Her father was Giuseppe Maiuolo, a native of Cortale. Her mother came to Cortale from Tropea. Her roots are in many towns in Calabria. She was born in Cortale and was her father's family, however, her mother came to Cortale from Tropea. Her grandmother was born in Filadelfia. So I have decided to dedicate a portion of this website to the families of my grandmother. My research into her families is ongoing and will be added to as I learn more.
